We have all been there before. The kids are screaming and the water on the stove is over boiling - all of a sudden you see the dog eating the baby’s food, just before realising you forgot to put the bins out! It doesn’t just end there, you have an appointment in an hour and there is no way you can get yourself and the kids out the door on time!
Sometimes we have these days - things don’t go to plan and can spiral out of control very quickly. One thing leads to another and we end up in a state of stress, unless we have the skills to get out of it, it can ruin our whole day causing high anxiety.
The best thing to do in these situations is to take a deep breath and do 1 or 2 little things that can help reduce stress and bring us back to a place of calm.
I have created a checklist of my top 10 strategies of things to do when you, as a mum, are feeling overwhelmed. They are all very simple and most do not require any special gadgets. It is a handy little list to stick on your fridge so it is easily accessible the next time you need it. This checklist is one of the tools I always used when my kids were little. Did I mention that I am a mum of 5 and I had 3 kids under 4 years at one stage? Yep, I get it! Download it here
